The Association of Chaplaincy in General Practice was established in 2014 as network of people who are interested in the relatively new provision of Chaplaincy in General Practice. Individuals and organisations expressing this interest are welcome to contact the Association with their details. The Association of Chaplaincy in General Practice is committed to working with relevant organisations in order to clarify the specific distinctives, training, standards and accreditation for the effective delivery of this service. These organisations include: NHS England; The UK Board of Healthcare Chaplaincy which works on behalf of the Association of Hospice and Palliative Care Chaplains, the College of Healthcare Chaplains; the Northern Ireland Healthcare Chaplains Association, the Scottish Association of Chaplains in Healthcare.
